How much are QOALA services?
We accept most insurances (including Aetna, Cigna, Medicare, Blue Cross). A deductible/coinsurance may apply. At this time we do not accept Medicaid. We offer a sliding scale for self-pay patients.
How do I begin services for myself or a friend/family member/current patient?
A referral from your current primary care doctor is preferred but not required. It is extremely helpful to have previous medical records from your specialists and primary care doctor. If you are a provider and would like to refer a patient, please email info@qoalahomecare.com for additional assistance.
How long can I receive QOALA services?
As long as you have a qualifying diagnosis and active insurance. If you are eligible for a higher level of care and need to be referred, this will be recommended at your visit.
How long does a visit last and how often can I be seen?
Initial visits last from 1.5 to 2 hours. Follow up visits typically last 30 min to 1 hour. Visits are typically completed on a monthly basis. Acute visits will be added on a case by case basis.
Will the NP prescribe my narcotics?
Due to recommended federal guidelines, we ask that you be followed by a pain specialist for your routine controlled substance prescriptions.
Will the NP prescribe my anti-psychotic meds?
Due to the complexity and high interaction risk of mental health medications, we ask that you obtain your routine meds from a psychiatric specialist. We will fill routine antidepressants that are prescribed by most internal med providers.
Do you provide caregiving services?
At this time, we do not offer caregiving services, but can offer resources to assist you in finding these services.

How do I obtain a Life Alert for my loved one?
We recommend you call your insurance company to see if they cover (or assist with pricing for) these services. If not, most alarm companies will offer life alert services.
